2019 Honda CRV air filter change

Tools required:

8mm deep socket with ratchet or Phillips head screwdriver

New air filter

Step 1. Open hood with hood release located to the left of the drivers footwell. Proceed with opening the hood the rest of the way with the release located underneath the middle of the hood. You should feel a plastic tab, push it to the right while pulling hood up and prop the hood up

Step 2. Locate the air box in the engine bay

Step 3. Undo the 4 bolts located around the air box and lift the top open to reveal air filter, make sure you pull the air filter out as the bottom of the filter will be the dirty side

Step 4. Check condition of air filter.

The filter I pulled was dirty and in need of replacement. A good test to check the air filter's health is to hold it up to the sun or a bright light source, if you can see light bleeding through clearly then the filter is still good if not then it needs replacement

Step 5. Installation is reverse of removal
