Introduction

Hello, today I’m going to walk you through replacing Rear struts on a 2003 Mazda Protege. This is a fairly straight forward procedure but by following my How-To I hope it will be an even easier experience for you.

Estimated Time: 25 mins per side

Tools required:

  • 14mm socket (sway bar end link)
  • 19mm socket (tire lugs)
  • 1/2 ratchet
  • 14mm box end wrench
  • impact wrench

Step by step

1.Safely jack up the car on the frame

2.Remove the rear tire using a 19mm socket

3.Remove the sway bar end link (I believe it is 14mm)
