Hello! Blacksheep here! This is a how-to on reversing a corvair steering box. Why might you want to reverse a steering box you ask? Well with traditional steering or cowl steering on hot rods and alike, your drag link runs straight forward. This requires the pitman arm to be positioned in the direction that makes you go left when you turn left and right when you turn right. So depending on your application you might need to reverse the gearing to meet your needs. This has been a common practice with corvair steering boxes on hot rods for years and if you can find one in a junkyard this is how you can reverse it. Not as hard as it sounds.

All you need is

-7/8 drill bit

-drill press

-basic hand tools

-7/8 freeze plug
