How to fix inoperative rear defroster on 2006 to 2012 Chevrolet impala and monte carlo

To fix the rear defroster that has stopped working. 95% of the time it is a burnt connection in the pass through connector between the engine harness and the vehicle harness on the inside of the car located in the passenger side footwell. once exposed you can fix the wire and route it around the connector.

Tools required

you will need side cutters, electrical tape, 6 inches of 12 gauge wire, soldering iron and solder.

Estimated time

this repair should take 20 minutes for a good solid connection
